Description

Air velocities of upto 45m/sec are achievable in the test section which is accessed by a door forming one side of the section. There is a port in the door used for small model changes and as a means of adjusting models during a test run.. Static pressure tappings are fitted at a number of points in the upper wall and a pitot tube can be traversed at several points. A pitot-static tube is also fitted downstream of the test model. Both probes can be traversed over the full width of the duct. Models supplied with the wind tunnel include a cylinder, aerofoil, boundary layer plate and two model vehicles. 2 & 3 component balances are available and models can be made to order.
