* Pipe friction with determination of Reynold’s Number
* Pressure losses in pipes and bends
* Flow in convergent – divergent nozzles with choking
* Pressure drop across a pipeline orifice
* Pressure recovery across a sudden enlargement
* Evaluation of the speed of sound and g for air
The Compressible Flow Rig. is a bench top unit with multi-stage compressor, digital inverter, direct speed reading, power meter, digital pressure meters with hoses and quick connect couplings, inlet nozzle, three parallel pipes of different bore, orifice unit with set of orificies, sudden expansion, gradual expansion. Apparatus capable of supersonic flow at standrad temperature and pressure. Maximum velocity may vary under other conditions.
